  1. Virtual Tour of the Delta

    Habitat restoration projects and other points of interest that will be viewed during this Google Earth tour may include: Hill Slough, Rush Ranch tidal marsh function at First Mallard Branch, Nurse Slough complex overview at mouth of Nurse Slough, Blacklock, Miens Landing, Suisun Marsh salinity control gate and boat lock, Montezuma Wetlands, Lower Sacramento River delta smelt research project, Decker Island and Lower Sacramento river restoration options, Lower Cache Slough; Sacramento River, Steamboat Slough; lower Prospect Island, example of a potential levee setback and view of island from cross levee; processes at mouth of Liberty Island; Wildlands mitigation bank; Yolo Ranch; Liberty Island, and Yolo Bypass.

Coequal goals

The Delta Stewardship Council was created in legislation to achieve the state mandated coequal goals for the Delta. "'Coequal goals' means the two goals of providing a more reliable water supply for California and protecting, restoring, and enhancing the Delta ecosystem. The coequal goals shall be achieved in a manner that protects and enhances the unique cultural, recreational, natural resource, and agricultural values of the Delta as an evolving place." (CA Water Code §85054)
