- Registration Reminder: Delta Science Plan Workshop
The Delta Science Program is developing the third iteration of the Delta Science Plan, centered around Grand Challenges to Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta science. To inform the next Delta Science Plan, the Delta Science Program is hosting a hybrid public workshop from February 20-21, 2025, to solicit input from the community. There is still time to register!

The Delta Stewardship Council and Delta Independent Science Board will hold the following public meetings this month. Meeting notices detailing agendas, public comment opportunities, logistics, and more will be posted on our events web page 10 days prior. Revised notices will be issued if changes arise.

The report centers around “Reflecting on Growth and Collaboration” and is hosted in an interactive storymap format. Through an in-depth narrative with visuals from across the region, visitors will learn how challenges can be overcome when we foster collaboration opportunities guided by the best available science and adaptive management.
The Coequal Goals
The Delta Stewardship Council was created in legislation to achieve the state mandated coequal goals for the Delta. "'Coequal goals' means the two goals of providing a more reliable water supply for California and protecting, restoring, and enhancing the Delta ecosystem. The coequal goals shall be achieved in a manner that protects and enhances the unique cultural, recreational, natural resource, and agricultural values of the Delta as an evolving place." (CA Water Code Section 85054)
