- Now Available: Final Independent Peer Review Report for WY 2024-25 Winter-run Chinook Salmon Annual Loss
At the request of the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) and the California Department of Water Resources (DWR), the Delta Stewardship Council’s Delta Science Program has completed facilitating an independent scientific peer review of the Water Year 2024 and 2025 Winter-run Chinook Salmon Annual Loss.
- Notice of April 1 Delta ISB Meeting
On April 1 at 9:00 AM, the Delta Independent Science Board will meet virtually to discuss its reviews and activities. This will include a discussion on the draft summary of the Emerging Climate Science Symposium. Delta Lead Scientist Dr. Lisamarie Windham-Myers will also provide an update on how the Delta Stewardship Council’s Delta Science Program is planning to address comments from the Delta ISB’s 2026 draft Delta Science Plan review.

The Delta Stewardship Council invites you to the Interweaving Traditional Knowledge Roundtable Series and the Delta Climate Adaptation Team’s Kickoff Meeting, which will be hosted back-to-back on June 30, 2026, at the California Natural Resources Agency (715 P Street, Sacramento, CA 95814) and on Zoom.
The Coequal Goals
The Delta Stewardship Council was created in legislation to achieve the state mandated coequal goals for the Delta. "'Coequal goals' means the two goals of providing a more reliable water supply for California and protecting, restoring, and enhancing the Delta ecosystem. The coequal goals shall be achieved in a manner that protects and enhances the unique cultural, recreational, natural resource, and agricultural values of the Delta as an evolving place." (CA Water Code Section 85054)
