The Delta Science Program has funded more than 30 research grants totaling more than 15 million dollars. The Science Program considers funding scientific research to be a critical component in establishing unbiased and authoritative knowledge directly relevant to Bay-Delta actions. This knowledge will fundamentally advance the understanding of the complex environments and ecosystems within the Bay-Delta system to aid policy-makers, managers and other decision-makers.

2010 Grant Solicitation:

DELTA SCIENCE PROGRAM'S 2010 PROPOSAL SOLICITATION PACKAGE PROJECTS APPROVED FOR FUNDING

The Delta Science Program received 49 proposals in response to its 2010 Proposal Solicitation Package (PSP), requesting approximately $31,000,000 in total funding. The review process, which included reviews by external experts and by a Final Review Panel (FRP), is now complete. Funding recommendations, provided by the FRP were taken to the Delta Stewardship Council (Council) for approval, following receipt of public comments.
