The Delta Stewardship Council was created in legislation to achieve the state mandated coequal goals for the Delta. "'Coequal goals' means the two goals of providing a more reliable water supply for California and protecting, restoring, and enhancing the Delta ecosystem. The coequal goals shall be achieved in a manner that protects and enhances the unique cultural, recreational, natural resource, and agricultural values of the Delta as an evolving place." (CA Water Code §85054)

About Public Comments

The activities of the Delta Stewardship Council include the need for a thorough two-way dialogue between the Council and everyone who relies on water in this state.  While much of that conversation occurs at the Council meetings, another significant portion reaches us through letters and emails.

Below is a complete listing of the comments received by individuals, interest groups, public agencies and private companies all of whom offered thoughts about various issues raised before the Council. The comments have been segregated by individual topics, except for the category “Other Correspondence” which lists all of the comments received from all categories.  These are chronologically listed by the date they arrived at the Council.
