1. Welcome and Introductions by the Delta ISB (begins at 8:30 a.m.)

 

2. Pre-tour Informational Briefing

10:30 a.m.: 1-Hour Break – Allow time to travel to Brannan Island State Recreation Area for Boat Tour at 17645 State Highway 160, Rio Vista, CA 94571 (directions)

Reconvene at 11:30 a.m.

 

11:30 a.m-4:00 p.m.: Boat Tour

Meetup/Launch and Return Location: Brannan Island State Recreation Area, 17645 State Highway 160, Rio Vista, CA 94571 (directions)

 

3. Central Delta Boat Tour (begins at ~11:30 a.m.)

 

4:00 p.m.: 1 Hour Break – Allow time to Return to the USGS Office at 1280 Terminal St, West Sacramento, CA 95691 from Brannan Island (directions)

Reconvene at 5:00 p.m.

 

5:00 p.m-5:30 p.m.: Post-tour Informational Briefing

Coequal goals

The Delta Stewardship Council was created in legislation to achieve the state mandated coequal goals for the Delta. "'Coequal goals' means the two goals of providing a more reliable water supply for California and protecting, restoring, and enhancing the Delta ecosystem. The coequal goals shall be achieved in a manner that protects and enhances the unique cultural, recreational, natural resource, and agricultural values of the Delta as an evolving place." (CA Water Code §85054)
