Delta Plan Performance Measures Assessment Workshop

The Delta Stewardship Council will convene a public workshop to review staff recommendations to refine the performance measures currently in the Delta Plan. The goal of the workshop is to allow all interested parties the opportunity to comment and provide input on the performance measures being refined for added clarity, consistency, conciseness, and measurability.  The workshop will cover the output and outcome performance measures in the plan relating to reliable water supply, ecosystem restoration, Delta as a place, water quality and risk reduction.

Coequal goals

The Delta Stewardship Council was created in legislation to achieve the state mandated coequal goals for the Delta. "'Coequal goals' means the two goals of providing a more reliable water supply for California and protecting, restoring, and enhancing the Delta ecosystem. The coequal goals shall be achieved in a manner that protects and enhances the unique cultural, recreational, natural resource, and agricultural values of the Delta as an evolving place." (CA Water Code §85054)
